Amnesty Program - Free Masterpoints!
The ACBL Board of Directors approved an amnesty program for previous Members. Between Jan. 1 and
June 30, 2013, upon payment of membership dues or service fees, a player whose membership has lapsed will be credited with all masterpoints earned during the lapsed membership period. Contact membership@ acbl.org for more information or see me and I will be happy to sign you up.

Inter-Club Championship Games
Thursday, February 28 and on July 18, you get to play face-to-face with the perk of across-the-field scoring through the Internet to determine
overall rankings at clubs participating on the same date. There will be
hand records. When the game is finished I will send the results to ACBL to be included in the overall scoring. This event pays regular club masterpoints (black) at the club in addition to club championship
masterpoints if you place in the overalls. Results for this and other special competitions can be found at acbl.org. |
GOLD NUGGET TEAM GAME

Six teams turned out to play the Gold Nugget Team game held by Charleston Bridge Club. It was a learning experience for me and I thank all of you for your patience.
There were lots of suggestions for the next time this event is held, amazingly enough there were people who wanted to do it again and some even wanted to hold another team game soon.
I don’t know about “soon”, but CBC will definitely run another Gold Team game and plans to make this an annual event on the last Thursday in October. And I promise I won’t make the same mistakes instead I will make new and different ones.
Charlie Foster, George Karr, and Gary and Jeanette Baker were awarded 2.67 points of which .13 were gold won the event.
